But they have ONE good attribute; They eat wasps!Cro Magnonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06840670227576695352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3862558826642828532.post-7070384675985469042010-04-23T21:49:31.363+02:002010-04-23T21:49:31.363+02:00I mean that the wasps will predate aphids and eat ...I mean that the wasps will predate aphids and eat your jam, BTW - sorry.Tom Stephensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05979590950587415840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3862558826642828532.post-27779513261255739672010-04-23T21:47:49.477+02:002010-04-23T21:47:49.477+02:00We here in Southern England have had a huge increa...We here in Southern England have had a huge increase in Hornets over the last 3 years. Much more dangerous than wasps, but much less aggressive. Leave them be, and they will usually leave you be (bee?) - unless you are eating jam on the lawn. They do predate aphids though, which is good news for Haddocks. There is a type of hornet (an intruder to England and France) which hunts honey bees - they are not so welcome.Tom Stephensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05979590950587415840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3862558826642828532.post-52627248694215926732010-04-23T17:19:00.409+02:002010-04-23T17:19:00.409+02:00Oh, they are nasty little buggers! Everyone was complaining about how bad the bees were.I had to do some quick educating that it was not a bee but a wasp! Don't want to give those bees a bad name!Linda Tunnellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13423265966091830574noreply@blogger.com
