Pond Death.
I'm extremely sad to find that, on my return from Oz, all our fish have died. They survived snow, ice and freezing temperatures, only to succumb to the warmer weather. I don't know if it was because the oxygen making plants had died; it could be that. There are lots of tadpoles still there so I just don't know. If any of you have any ideas would be pleased to hear from you.

I blame Lord Magnon spending too much time on the computor in your absence, and not enough time in the freezing garden?
ReplyDeleteYour pond life (fish) would have survived if there had a been a small solar powered fountain in the pond, for in recirculating the pond water into the air & back again increases the oxygen in the water.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that Heron. I'm sure that the lack of Oxygen is to blame somehow.
